Jazz-Hornets Injury Report Revealed

The Utah Jazz play their first game post-All-Star break versus the Charlotte Hornets.

The Utah Jazz will host the Charlotte Hornets at the Delta Center on Thursday night. Both teams enter the contest healthy. Utah will be without Otto Porter Jr., who is currently away from the team.

Utah will be looking to get off on the right foot after the trade deadline deals that took the wind out of its sails. The Jazz are 0-4 since trading away Kelly Olynyk, Simone Fontecchio, and Ochai Abaji.

Utah also readjusted its starting lineup since the deadline deals. Rookie Keynonte George replaced Kris Dunn as the starting point guard, and Walker Kessler took Fontecchio’s spot. With Kessler starting, John Collins moved to the power forward position, while Lauri Markkanen is now the starting small forward.

Getting off to a good start will be critical if Utah wants to stay in the playoff conversation. The Jazz have a good shot at winning their first three games. After the Hornets, they’ll face the San Antonio Spurs, followed by the Atlanta Hawks. Utah is favored by 9.5 points heading into Thursday night.

The Jazz have 26 games remaining, and there’s not much room for error if they’re going to make the play-in tournament. The Golden State Warriors are the last team to qualify and have a .509 winning percentage. To exceed that, Utah must go 16-10 for the remainder of the season.

The tip-off tonight is slated for 7:00 pm MST.
