The Oklahoma City Thunder 134-129 defeated the Utah Jazz on Thursday night at the Delta Center. The loss snapped the Jazz's six-game winning streak as both teams implemented an up-tempo style of basketball.

While the Jazz were rested, the Thunder competed for a third time in four nights. I thought fatigue would rattle the Thunder, but they showed no sign of slowing down after the opening tip.

Let's review the winners and losers from the contest.

Winner: Collin Sexton

Sexton was the model of consistency we have come to expect each and every night he's on an NBA floor. His 31 points tied for game-high honors, along with seven assists. He continues to be a nemesis for opposing teams, and last night's performance revealed an in-game dunk contest starring Mr. Sexton.

His constant pressure on defenses must drive opposing coaches and scouting personnel crazy. Sexton's name is becoming a hot topic with regard to the NBA trading market. As usual, other teams witness success from some of their competitors and want a slice of the winning pie.

Surely the Jazz have Sexton listed a key component for now and well into the future because this type of athlete is not very common on the face of the planet.

Loser: John Collins

Collins scored a season-high 21 points, yet he was the only starter to register a negative double-digit game script at -19, which was also a game-high figure. He also committed five fouls and was not able to provide his team valuable minutes while viewing the game from the bench.

Collins is a fine player but has struggled with consistency during the course of this season. Perhaps Mr. Collins should review practice and game film and clean up the issues that seemingly contribute to his court issues.

Winner: Jalen Williams

Williams was the best player on the floor during the contest. Although he fouled out of the game, he still managed 27 points and eight assists.

Williams connected on a blistering 79% from the field, made 4-of-5 three-point shots, and posted a game-high +16 rating. Without his performance, it's likely the Jazz would have won the game.

Oh well, all good things eventually end, such as the Jazz's winning streak. Next on the schedule are the Houston Rockets on Saturday in Texas at 6:00 PM.
