The Utah Jazz introduced the Miami Heat to winning culture on its way to a 117-109 victory at the Delta Center. The game and score were competitive, yet there was no doubt who was in control of this contest, particularly down the fourth quarter stretch.

The Jazz executed with precision throughout and were led in scoring by Mr. Dependable, Collin Sexton. Keyonte George and Kelly Olynyk also provided strong contributions and tallied 21 points and 19 points, respectively.

Now, let's review some key takeaways from the Jazz performance.

Balance Attack Key to Success

The Jazz placed seven players in double-figures and operated on a level to which the Heat could not respond. This victory marked the seventh win in 10 games for the Jazz and the individual performances were scintillating.

Utah’s depth continues to be a problem for its opponents. The Jazz bench outscored Miami 59-42 in Saturday's victory.

Sexton Continues to Take Command

In the last 10 games, the Jazz are 7-3 with Sexton as a starter. He logged 26 minutes of action, and his style of play allows for success by way of his teammates.

Sometimes, it's not how many minutes you put in, but it's what you put into the minutes, and Sexton seemed to get the best of Heat guard Tyler Herro. Late in the contest, Herro was well short on three-point attempts, possibly due to drainage by way of Sexton.

And talk about toughness? There was a head-on collision with Sexton and Heat Forward Haywood Highsmith. Sexton somehow managed to get himself back to his feet and continue playing. We will see what he has in his bag on the next outing.

Olynyk & George Fuel the Bench

Jazz Nation continues to wait for the triple-double drought to end. Carlos Boozer last accomplished this feat in 2008, but the Jazz are getting close to unleashing the "TD" performance. In addition to the points listed above, Olynyk handed out 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds.

For a team that emphasizes conditioning, the cold weather and altitude were too much to handle for the Heat. Also, from the guard line, George posted a game-high +14 rating, and once again, the Heat had no answers.

In addition to his points listed above he grabbed six rebounds. Player comparisons are real, and we may be watching a player with Jamal Murray's ceiling. This was a good win to end the year for the Jazz, and they will battle to Dallas Mavericks on New Year's Day!
