Jazz Post-All-Star Break Win Total Odds Revealed

The oddsmakers aren't sold on the Utah Jazz.

Internet online bookie DraftKings has released its post-All-Star break win totals and is projecting the Utah Jazz to finish the season with 37 wins. Despite Utah selling off some rotational pieces at the trade deadline, the popular online bookie is projecting Utah to exceed its preseason expectations. In order to hit that mark, Utah would need to go 11-15 the rest of the way.

It was looking like Utah had a shot at winning over 40 games, but the Jazz front office pulled the plug on the season by trading Kelly Olynyk, Simone Fontecchio, and Ochai Abaji for future draft compensation. Moving forward, one has to wonder what other roadblocks lie ahead.

The big question now is whether Utah will do a ‘mini-tank’ to secure its first-round draft pick. The pick is now in the possession of the Oklahoma City Thunder but is top-10 protected. Utah is only one game removed from securing the pick.

Jazz fans know all too well that Utah’s front office isn't afraid to take its foot off the gas if it's going to help them down the road. Last season, after the All-Star break, the Jazz took the side of caution regarding injured players. In fact, Collin Sexton only played in one post-All-Star game. Utah’s injury reports will be something to keep an eye on.

However, Utah should be able to get off to a good start this week, thanks to a soft schedule. On Thursday, they’ll face the Charlotte Hornets at home, followed up with a game versus the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
