Utah Jazz-San Antonio Spurs Injury Report: Lauri Markkanen Status Revealed

Can the Utah Jazz end their losing skid against the last place San Antonio Spurs?

The Utah Jazz will have an opportunity to end their six-game losing streak when they travel to play the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Both teams could be short-handed headed into the contest.

The Jazz will be without Jordan Clarkson (back) and Kris Dunn (suspension) while Lauri Markkanen (quad) is questionable. As for the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama (ankle) and Keldon Johnson (knee) are questionable.

It's been a Rocky Road for Utah since the trade deadline. Utah is 3-17 since that day when three rotational pieces were moved for future draft picks. The path that the Jazz are currently on has divided a fan base.

Some feel that player development and waiting to convey the top-ten protected pick owed to the Oklahoma City Thunder were the right moves. Others believe there wasn't enough gain in the deadline deals to sacrifice a positive locker culture.

Either way, the Jazz will have their work cut out for them this offseason if they’re going to get back on track. Fans can expect some roster reshuffling this offseason. Whether through trade, free agency, or draft picks, expect quite a bit of roster turnover moving forward.

The Spurs are a 1.5-point favorite against a Jazz team looking forward to the season-ending. The tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm MST
