After losing starting shooting guard Kevin Huerter and backup shooting guard Malik Monk to long-term injuries, the Sacramento Kings have been put in a vulnerable position with the playoffs approaching. The Kings lost back-to-back games against the Dallas Mavericks, causing a slide in the standings, but Sunday's win over the Utah Jazz gave them a taste of winning again.

The Kings are in eighth place in the Western Conference, sitting a game and a half back from the sixth-place New Orleans Pelicans. With eight games remaining, the Kings have the opportunity to get out of the play-in tournament but have little room for error.

Tuesday's test against the Los Angeles Clippers will be a preview of what this Sacramento squad is capable of in the postseason, and a win will give them hope to climb back up the standings. Both teams have released their Injury Reports ahead of Tuesday night's matchup.

Sacramento Kings:

Kevin Huerter - OUT (shoulder)

Malik Monk - OUT (knee)

Los Angeles Clippers:

Kawhi Leonard - OUT (knee)

While Sacramento's report shows no surprises, Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard will be sidelined for Tuesday's matchup due to knee soreness. The Kings are just 1-2 against the Clippers this season, showing no signs of stopping Leonard, as the two-time NBA Finals MVP has averaged 32 points on 78% shooting in the Clippers two wins.

The Kings might have caught a break with Leonard's injury, but the Clippers are still loaded with talent without him. With Paul George and James Harden on the court, the Clippers are a dangerous team regardless.

With Huerter out for the season and Monk sidelined 4-6 weeks, the Kings need their stars to step up and pick up the slack. The return of Trey Lyles and Sasha Vezenkov from injuries helps with Sacramento's depth issue, but more scoring needs to come from De'Aaron Fox and Keegan Murray for the Kings to keep up with powerhouses like the Clippers.

The Kings and Clippers tip off in Sacramento at 7 PM PT.
