Kings-Clippers Injury Report: Paul George Status Revealed

The Kings will face off against a star-studded Clippers team Sunday night.

The Sacramento Kings will be hitting the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night in a playoff-level matchup. This will mark the Kings' 11th road battle in their last 14 games as they look to make it a three-game winning streak.

So far this season Sacramento has lost both of their previous matchups against the Clippers, and neither loss was super close. This time, the Kings will look to flip the script against an LAC squad that includes stars like Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and James Harden.

Looking at the injury report, both teams are near full health coming out of the All-Star break, with only a few players set to assuredly miss the contest.

Sacramento Kings

F Sasha Vezenkov - OUT (ankle)

C Alex Len - OUT (Illness)

Los Angeles Clippers

F Paul George - OUT (left knee soreness)

G Normal Powell - QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Looking at the list, Paul George's name certainly sticks out as the All-Star forward is set to miss Sunday's game due to a lower leg injury. George is averaging over 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game this season. With him sitting out, the Kings will find themselves at an advantage with such a strong two-way player off the court.

For Sacramento, Alex Len sitting out could lead to a more small-ball approach for HC Mike Brown. If he does look for a backup big man, C JaVale McGee could get the nod after not playing in the last four games for the Kings.

Sunday's game will tip off at 6:30 P.M. PT in Crypto.com Arena.
