After suffering from an embarrassing 104-114 loss to the Charlotte Hornets to kick off the new year, the Sacramento Kings are back to get redemption in Wednesday night’s game at the Spectrum Center.

It’ll be the second leg of a back-to-back for Sacramento, who came back for a dominant win against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night, 131-110. The next challenge for this Kings team is sustaining that momentum into the second of their five-game road trip.

Both teams released their injury reports heading into the contest, unveiling some positive news on Sacramento’s side:

Sacramento Kings:

NONE

Charlotte Hornets:

LaMelo Ball- OUT (ankle)

Gordon Hayward- OUT (calf)

Mark Williams- OUT (back)

PJ Washington- DOUBTFUL (foot)

Cody Martin- QUESTIONABLE (groin)

The Kings are entering this game with nothing to showcase in their report. While Trey Lyles had recently been dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of action for a small chunk of time, the issue has since cleared up.

For the Hornets, they have a bit more to report on their side. LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Mark Williams will all remain out of this contest, just as they were for their matchup against Sacramento earlier this month. PJ Washington’s status also remains in doubt due to a foot injury, while Cody Martin will be closer to a game-time decision while dealing with a groin injury.

The Hornets and Kings will tip off at 4 PM PT in Charlotte, with hope for a better outcome in the wins column than we saw in their last meeting.
