Kings F Keegan Murray Uses His Twin Brother’s Name in Public

Sacramento's sophomore talked about him secretly giving the wrong name in public in a hilarious interview.

In the 2023 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings had the 24th pick and many fans were big on the Kings drafting sophomore star F Keegan Murray's twin brother - Kris Murray. Unfortunately, Kris went one pick ahead - 23rd to the Portland Trail Blazers, however, that did not stop the Sacramento forward from uniquely using his brother's name. If you've ever run into Kris Murray, you may have been lied to.

In an interview with Chris Haynes before the NBA Rising Stars game, Keegan Murray answered a funny question from a source of Chris Haynes:

Haynes: "Some sources have told me that sometimes when you're walking certain places somebody may ask for a picture or autograph and ask if you're Keegan Murray.. I was told he may say he's Kris Murray, his twin brother, sometimes, and they'll be like 'Oh Okay, alright' and he gets to move along and go about your business."

Keegan: "It's a good pass to use. It's a good pass to use. You gotta have fun with them a little bit"

Right after that, Chris Haynes told Keegan Murray that he stole his seat on their flight to Indiana:

Haynes: "I got here to Indiana - knees were sore. Do you know why my knees were sore Keegan? We were on the same flight Keegan. I was about to get my emergency exit seat, then somebody says 'No! Keegan Murray is on this flight as well, he has to take that seat!' So how did my seat feel Keegan?"

Keegan: Hey man I don't know. My seat felt pretty good so, I don't know about you bro."

Murray is averaging 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season. Keegan's team did not win the Rising Stars Challenge, but his humble nature along with impressive growth is what truly matters - making him essential to the Kings' future.
