The Sacramento Kings are one of the NBA's most confusing teams, losing games that are usually routine wins, but blowing out powerhouses. That trend shows in their past two games after a disappointing loss to the Houston Rockets followed by a dominant 35-point win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers are traveling to Sacramento on Wednesday night in a matchup critical to both teams' playoff race. The Lakers sit at 9th in the West, with the Kings two games ahead at 7th. While both teams may ultimately fall to the Play-In, this final stretch of games for both teams is critical if anyone wants to slip into the top 6.

The Kings are 3-0 against the Lakers this season and will go for a clean sweep in their final matchup of the season - but both teams may be without crucial players.

Sacramento Kings

Keegan Murray - QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Kevin Huerter - QUESTIONABLE (leg)

Trey Lyles - OUT (knee)

Sasha Vezenkov - OUT (ankle)

Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James - QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Anthony Davis - PROBABLE (Achilles)

Christian Wood - OUT (knee)

Cam Reddish - OUT (ankle)

Gabe Vincent - OUT (knee)

Jarred Vanderbilt - OUT (foot)

Colin Castleton - OUT (wrist)

LeBron James is dealing with a wear-and-tear ankle injury that has plagued him since the All-Star break, causing him to be selective in games he is active. James played in the Lakers'  most recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves but was inactive the game before against the Bucks. It will be a toss-up for LeBron on the road Wednesday.

Keegan Murray missed the Kings' slaughter of the Bucks with an ankle injury but was active for the morning shootaround. Murray's status is up in the air, but if he is out, Keon Ellis may start in his place as he did against the Bucks.

Anthony Davis is probable for the Lakers while dealing with an Achilles injury. Davis is 0-9 against Domantas Sabonis in his career, giving him an extra boost of motivation in Wednesday night's crucial match.

The California rivalry has gone largely toward the Kings in recent times, but anything is possible the closer it gets to playoff time.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
