The Sacramento Kings are getting right back into the mix after their most recent loss vs. the Denver Nuggets, now set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on the second game of their short road trip.

So far this season, these teams have matched up against each other once, splitting the series 1-1. Tonight gives Sacramento a golden opportunity to secure a much-needed victory against one of the best teams in the Western Conference to bolster their chances at a top-six seed.

Each team dropped their injury reports before the contest, each with a key player potentially missing action once it's game time:

Sacramento Kings:

De'Aaron Fox- QUESTIONABLE (knee)

Sasha Vezenkov- OUT (ankle)

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Anthony Edwards- QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Kyle Anderson- QUESTIONABLE (knee)

Jaylen Clark- OUT (Achilles)

The Kings are still dealing with Fox's knee injury, which ultimately kept him out of their last game vs. Denver. However, The Sacramento Bee reported that De'Aaron participated in shoot around before the contest against Minnesota, which provides some optimism for his status. As for Vezenkov, he's still working through an ankle injury that's kept him out of the lineup since February.

Minnesota's Anthony Edwards is also dealing with an ankle injury, one that occurred during their last game vs. the Memphis Grizzles, but he ended up returning to that game once the second half started. He remains questionable before this one, alongside Kyle Anderson who has a knee injury.

The Kings and Timberwolves will tip off in the Target Center on Friday at 5 PM PT.
