Knicks' Jalen Brunson Clears Up All-Star Fashion Perception

New York Knicks All-Sar Jalen Brunson humorously cleared up misconceptions about his All-Star attire on his Instagram story.

Jalen Brunson hasn't disclosed how he has spent the $104 million the New York Knicks started bestowing him during the summer of 2022, but he let the world know he has at least purchased a suit.

As he documented his first All-Star Game adventure experience, Brunson poked some self-deprecating fun at a meme that has followed him since his NBA entry. Whereas the NBA Draft is often celebrated as a day of unique fashion among those hearing their name called, some have joked that Brunson wore standard, if not stylish, business attire on the night the Dallas Mavericks made him the 33rd overall pick. When Brunson arrived in Indianapolis to partake in the exhibition weekend, some joked that he was breaking it out just under six years later.

In his Instagram story showcasing his endeavors, Brunson humorously set the record straight when ESPN's NBA account tried to make a comparison.

"Don't know how many times I'll have to say this wasn't my draft day suit lol," a playfully beleaguered Brunson declared.

While there were a few hiccups, including some apparent qualms about his wardrobe, Brunson appeared to have an enjoyable experience out in Indianapolis. Among the other photos in his story were encounters with WNBA MVP/Knicks critic Candace Parker (with his father and Knicks assistant coach Rick watching with a laugh), actor Bill Murray, fellow metropolitan three-point threat Jalen Brunson, and an on-court showdown with former Mavericks teammate Luka Doncic.

Appropriately, the montage ends with Brunson walking out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse with his wife Ali following the Eastern Conference's record-shattering victory on Sunday.

Brunson hopes his next affairs prove equally cinematic, as the Knicks (33-22) have an intriguing 27 games ahead en route to the postseason. New York opens the post-break slate on Thursday in Philadelphia (7 p.m. ET, MSG).
