Fan Favorite Ex-Laker Named 2024 G League MVP
Former Los Angeles Laker high-flying guard Mac McClung has been named the 2024 G League MVP.
McClung expressed his gratitude for winning the award via his personal Twitter account.
McClung was a member of the Osceola Magic after signing with them earlier this season. With the Magic G League affiliate, McClung averaged 25.5 points per game, 4.6 rebounds and 6.5 assists on 50.9% shooting from the field. He has also shot 39.6% from behind the arc.
The 25-year-old spent some time with the Los Angeles Lakers and their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, in 2022. He signed a two-way deal with LA in April 2022. He appeared in one game as a Laker, putting up six points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.
The Virginia native was sensational all season long, which was why Osceola succeeded this season.
