Lakers Injury Report: Clippers Could Be Without 2 Key Starters For Battle Of LA

This should give the Lakers a big boost tonight.

As your 31-28 Los Angeles Lakers "visit" the 37-19 LA Clippers, a usual suspect has popped up on the Clips' injury report: nine-time All-Star forward Paul George.

Dealing with a left knee ailment categorized as soreness, George has been ruled out, marking the second consecutive game that he has missed.

Joining PG-13 on the injury report is starting Clippers center Ivica Zubac, who has been dubbed questionable with an illness. Having one of the best years of his career, his presence would be sorely missed as the Clips will have their hands full with Anthony Davis.

In George's replacement, expect Norman Powell to draw another start, as he did in PG's last absence. If Zubac sits, reserves Mason Plumlee or Daniel Theis would be in line to draw the start, neither of whom should fare very well against Anthony Davis, or the Lakers elite frontcourt attack in general.
