Lakers Injury Report: Jason Kidd Reveals Whether Luka Doncic Will Play Vs LA

Will we see the MVP candidate tonight?

Your 20-21 Lakers are set to square off against the Dallas Mavericks tonight, with a few key names popping up on the injury report ahead of the matchup for the 24-17 Mavericks.

Luka Doncic headlines that list, as the MVP candidate is questionable after having missed the past three games with ankle soreness. In those three games, the Mavericks have gone 2-1, as Kyrie Irving and, uh, Tim Hardaway Jr. stepped in to fill some of Doncic's scoring void.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports that Doncic is set to return tonight, which could easily swing the game.

This does however, set up a star-studded matchup between LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Across the season, the Mavs have struggled to get Doncic, Irving, and star rookie center Derek Lively II on the floor at the same time, but when they have, they've posted an 11-5 record, which is good for a 56-win pace.

The Lakers have their work cut out for them, but with how LA has played against some top teams over the past couple weeks, they definitely have a chance.
