Lakers News: LA, Pacers Announce Starters Ahead Of Tonight's Game

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers have each announced their starting lineups for tonight's early encounter between their two respective squads.

Jovan Buha of The Athletic reveals that LA's first five will be Darvin Ham's preferred lineup. D'Angelo Russell will start at the point, third-year shooting guard Austin Reaves will join him in the backcourt, Rui Hachimura and All-Star LeBron James will occupy the two forward spots, and All-Star center Anthony Davis will man the paint. As Buha notes, this group has gone 12-5 together.

According to the NBA's latest injury report, Davis is playing through a lingering left knee hyperextension, while James continues to the manage that nagging left ankle peroneal tendinopathy that's expected to bug him all year, as he has for much of the last few weeks.

Los Angeles is in the midst of an impressive five-game winning streak, and has won seven of its last ten contests.

The Pacers will trot out a lengthy, youthful first five, as the team has announced via its official X account. All-Star Tyrese Haliburton will be trotted out at the point. He'll be flanked by wings Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith. Pascal Siakam will jump at the power forward spot, while 3-and-D big man Myles Turner will start at center.

The matchup tips off at 4 p.m. PT in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This will be the third contest in the Lakers' ongoing six-game road trip.
