All Lakers Expert Predictions For Sunday's Minnesota-Los Angeles Tilt

Will LA finally beat the Timberwolves?

Your 35-30 Los Angeles Lakers will look to fend off the 44-20 Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at Crypto.com Arena. LA has yet to beat Minnesota during either of their two prior meetings, though both December losses were fairly close.

We here at All Lakers are on the call to answer your burning questions.

Are Vegas oddsmakers correct for putting their faith in LA?

The Lakers have been very trick-or-treat all year. That's what happens when you're a mediocre ninth seed. Per The Action Network, LA is considered a -1 point favorite to best Minny at home. The Lakers do have several injury issues, but the Timberwolves have the most glaring absence: All-Star power forward Karl-Anthony Towns, out for at least a month with a meniscus surgery. I'm a bit more pessimistic than Vegas. Take the Wolves to win.

Will LeBron James and Anthony Davis both play?

This is very much tied into my answer to that last question. I'm very pessimistic both All-Stars suit up. Davis hurt his shoulder during LA's 123-122 victory Friday night over the Milwaukee Bucks (a game in which he was largely ineffective, while D'Angelo Russell's 44 points and some key Spencer Dinwiddie defense saved the day) and is currently questionable to play. James missed that game, and even as the season winds down is still questionable to suit up with that lingering left peroneal tendinopathy. I think James will play if Davis sits, and vice-versa. But we won't see both players don the purple and gold.
