Lakers News: Anthony Davis In Mix For Making Zach Lowe's All-NBA First Team

The 2023-2024 NBA season has ended at least the regular season. With that, now comes award time. Who will be the MVP? Who will be the Defensive Player of the Year? And who will be on the first All-NBA team?

There's a ton of uncertainty surrounding who will be on the first-team All-NBA, and once again, someone worthy will be left out. That someone worthy may just be Lakers superstar Anthony Davis.
Davis is coming off arguably his best season as a Laker; however, he may be left out of the First-team All-NBA.

ESPN writer and NBA insider Zach Lowe mentioned in his podcast The Lowe Post that if it were up to him, it'd be between Davis and Celtics superstar forward Jayson Tatum for the first team's final spot.

"I think I would put [Jayson] Tatum, First-Team All-NBA, in that fifth spot over AD, but it's down to those two guys. AD has jumped Kawhi [Leonard] for me, with Kawhi missing these games later in the season, and he's jumped [Kevin] Durant."

Davis has been a monster all season long, averaging 24.7 points per game, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 1.2 steals. The one-time champion has made an All-NBA team four times, all of which have been with the First Team. The last time Davis made the Fiorst-team was in the 2019-2020 season when he led the Lakers to their 17th NBA title.

The Brow has shown he is still among the best players in the world. It will be up to the voters to decide whether he deserves that final fifth spot that Lowe was talking about. Whether he is on the first team or not, Davis deserves to be on one of the three teams this season.
