Christian Wood Seemingly Hints at Lakers Winning 18th Championship Online

Love to see this mentality early on!

All reports have been amazing coming out of the Los Angeles Lakers camp recently as we gear up for the 2023-2024 media day and preseason. It's the beginning of a new year and key players just got new contracts, some fresh faces have joined the roster and best of all, no massive trades went down within LA this summer.

Outside of a couple of theories about a Kyrie Irving deal midway through the season, this roster feels like one that the Lakers are fully confident in going the full mile this time around.

Christian Wood signing a two-year deal with the franchise a couple of weeks marked off one of the final boxes on LA's to-do list this offseason as they now have a number of promising options at every position. Head coach Darvin Ham is known for experimenting with a number of different lineups and he will have the luxury to do so early in the year.

Specifically with Wood, he is someone that has the ability to score at all three levels while standing at 6'10. The biggest question with him revolves around his commitment on defense but if his dream comes true to get minutes next to Anthony Davis, this shouldn't be an issue at all.

And Wood recently took to Twitter/X to hint at what many fans think is his prediction for the season... an 18th franchise title for the Lakers.

It was a very simple message, '18', but it could signify that Wood is looking to get straight to business this year with the purple and gold. He has bounced around from team to team his entire career and he is well-aware that playing on this roster will allow him to truly show the world if he can impact winning.

I cannot wait to see Wood suit up with the rest of the guys!
