D'Angelo Russell Embodies New-Look Lakers Spirit & Fans Should Love It
Just a few games into his second stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, D'Angelo Russell sent a statement to the basketball world. He said that all this roster needed was one training camp together and the sky would be the limit for them.
Russell's wish will be granted as LA will kick off their training camp very soon and we will get a first look at how this team is looking heading into the 2023-2024 season. Even though there are some new faces and it's not the exact same squad that made a trip to the Western Conference Finals, majority of the key rotational guys are returning and the front office made proper additions all-around.
Nonetheless, this group is fully healthy and already attended a player-ran minicamp in San Diego hosted by Lebron James to start getting comfortable with one another. We saw how tight-knit this team became in a short amount of time after the 2023 trade deadline and folks can only imagine what actual offseason preparation will do for them.
In order to win a title, egos always have to be set aside and players must support one another in every way possible. This Lakers squad loves to have fun and engage with each other on social media as well.
Russell recently took to his Instagram story to share a video of a bus that had an Austin Reaves advertisement on it and jokingly voiced that he wishes he could be Reaves or Rui Hachimura for at least one day.
