Following your Los Angeles Lakers' disappointing 112-108 defeat at the hands of the visiting New York Knicks Sunday, LA's star center Anthony Davis blamed himself for his modest scoring output.

One Lakers teammate of AD's, reserve point guard Dennis Schröder, bristled at that notion when he was told how Davis felt in the team's Crypto.com Arena locker room. Davis finished with "just" 17 points on 8-of-18 shooting, along with 16 rebounds. The offensive numbers were fairly modest for The Brow, but still decent enough.

"It's everybody in this locker room," Schröder suggested. "I mean I can say the same thing. When I came in I had two quick turnovers. It's on everybody. When we lose we lose as a team when we win we win as a team. But AD, he tried to be ready at all times. He's been, 90% of the time, great for us. I mean, that he missed free throws there, that happens. We're all humans."

Davis, who's shooting 80.1% from the line on 7.6 attempts per game this season, went just 1-of-5 from the charity stripe.

Schröder finished with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting and one assist.

LA will have its next opportunity to win as a team tomorrow, when it faces the New Orleans Pelicans on the road in the first game of a back-to-back set.
