Former All-Star center DeAndre Jordan has become something of an NBA journeyman in the latter portion of his career. After starting off the 2021-22 season with your Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan was waived, then picked up by the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, he's a deep-bench five behind another ex-Laker, Thomas Bryant, on the Denver Nuggets, although both big men are currently out of the club's playoff rotation, with Jeff Green serving as All-Star center Nikola Jokic's small-ball backup.

During his tenures with both Lakers All-Star small forward LeBron James and now Jokic, Jordan has grown to appreciate both multi-All-Star's consistent excellent, though he worries the rest of the world may not, as he relayed to Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson of Bally Sports.

"Being able to play with a guy like Nikola and the things that he does every night — triple-doubles every night — you take those things for granted after a while because you expect them," Jordan said. "And then when you have people like LeBron."

He’s been in the league for 20 years, and he’s done so many things at a high level (that) you kind of just expect him to do great things. And I think that it’s a huge thing for him to become the all-time leading scorer in the NBA. Anytime you break a record like that, it should be held with a lot of significance.

Through his first four games of LA's ongoing first round playoff series against the higher-seeded Memphis Grizzlies, James is averaging 24 points on 49.4% shooting, 13.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals. His Lakers have an opportunity to close out Memphis tonight on the road.
