Expert Considers This Lakers Matchup To Be Most Interesting Of NBA's Week 1

Run it back!

The NBA definitely knew what they were doing when putting together the 2023-2024 schedule and even though they had some new factors to work around, such as the new in-season tournament, it's great to see some of the marquee matchups that your Los Angeles Lakers will be a part of throughout the year.

You can read all about our takes on the top five best Lakers matches to look forward to this season but just to take a look at a few, that Christmas Day matchup against the Boston Celtics will be quite the gift for NBA fans all-around. Numerous games against the new-look Golden State Warriors will also be must-watch as Stephen Curry and Chris Paul will now be teaming and potentially manning the backcourt together.

However, opening night against the Denver Nuggets will take the purple and gold right back to where they ended their 2023 season and get a chance to spoil their ring ceremony night on their own floor. Therefore, ESPN's Andrew Lopez has this matchup marked on his calendar as the most interesting of the NBA's week one.

"The most interesting game could be the actual season opener. LeBron James, Anthony Davis & Co. will be in Denver for a rematch of last season's Western Conference finals as Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and teammates receive their NBA championship rings. The Lakers retooled by bringing in Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes and Taurean Prince and this will be their first chance to test out the new lineups against the champs, who will be looking to repeat."

Everybody should be tuning in to see how both of these reigning Western Conference Finals teams face off against one another.

The Nuggets will be looking to add another Larry O'Brien to their collection while LA will aim to solidify themselves as the best team in the league.
