Former Lakers Superstar Appears In LAPD Hype Video

Shaq is finding more ways to enjoy post-retirement life

Host of Inside the NBA. Business owner. Touring DJ. What else can Shaquille O'Neal do in his post-basketball life?

It seems like residents of Los Angeles has that answer as the former Lakers superstar has appeared in a police recruitment video.

In a video posted by the LA Port Police department, Shaq is seen as the officer that others want to complete an arrest.

After making the arrest, O'Neal conveys the message that the port police needs more officers and encourages the viewers to join.

Shaq has some experience with the LA Port Police in the past. In the midst of his Lakers playing days, he was a reserve officer for the department.

Shaq has also been named as an sheriffs deputy in 2016 in Jonesboro, Georgia.

In 2005, the seven footer was sworn in as a reserve officer for the Miami Beach Police Department when he played for the Heat.

That same year, Shaq was named an honor United States Deputy  Marshal for his work with the Safe Surfin' Foundation.

This is not the first time that Shaq has acted as a police officer before. In the movie Grown Ups 2, he made a cameo and helps Adam Sandler's character get to his daughter's event with a police escort.

Shaq is always on the move finding new things to do in his post-retirement life. What could be next for the big diesel?
