FS1 Analyst Argues Lakers Guard Is Better Championship Fit Than Bradley Beal

Even WE aren't too sure about this one.

Noted LeBron James fan and Fox Sports 1 analyst Nick Wright is back with another hot take on the Lakers and their current chances in the West.

LA opens their season next Tuesday night against the reigning champion Denver Nuggets in a great early-season litmus test for where they stack up against one of the conference's best.

Another team that will surely challenge for the Western Conference throne this season is the Phoenix Suns and their newest trio of Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Wright, however, believes that Lakers guard Austin Reaves is a better third option to James and Anthony Davis than Beal is to his new superstar teammates.

We'd tell Wright not to quit his day job but unfortunately dumb takes like these are quite literally his day job.

We respect what he's trying to say here as Reaves certainly plays a more complimentary style to James and Davis compared to Beal's redundant scoring punch alongside two of the game's best in that department already.

What Wright forgets to mention is that Beal has been an All-Star and 30 PPG scorer from his days in Washington and one doesn't simply forget how to put the ball in the basket.

Indeed, Kevin Durant's previous superteam of Kyrie Irving, James Harden and himself failed to win a title due to chemistry issues but Beal has already experienced playing under a superstar guard thanks to time with John Wall.

D.C. saw the backcourt duo blossom into All-Stars together and the pair made quite the team in the nation's capital for several years.

Until Reaves reaches those heights rather than solely a Team USA invite, even we can't say that he's a better fit than Beal will be in Phoenix.
