The Western Conference's top-seeded Denver Nuggets are currently lapping your Los Angeles Lakers in their best-of-seven Conference Finals series, leading LA 2-0 thanks to a terrific Game 2 comeback last night.

Two-time MVP center Nikola Jokic spoke with gathered reporters after the win, sparked by an epic 23-point fourth quarter courtesy of point guard Jamal Murray. Per Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports, Jokic revealed that he secretly digs that the Lakers remain the focus of this series more so than his Nuggets, who despite being the favorites to advance to their first NBA Finals (even before they took a 2-0 lead) are relatively unheralded.

"To be honest, I like it," Jokic acknowledged. "We don't care. Whatever. If you remember even in the bubble when we beat Utah, they were talking about how they blew the lead. When we beat the Clippers [in a seven-game 2020 upset, which LA had led 3-1] it was about them blowing the lead.”

For the series thus far, Jokic is averaging a high-scoring triple-double: 28.5 points on .553/.500/.857 shooting splits, 19 rebounds, 13 assists, 1.5 steals and a block. He's logging a 64.5% true shooting percentage.
