Your Los Angeles Lakers have been dealing with one massive injury in the dog days of the 2022-23 NBA season, plus occasional absences from key starters and one other long-term ailment, albeit to a less essential player. All-Star small forward LeBron James (right foot tendon injury) and 3-and-D reserve center Mo Bamba (high left ankle sprain) remain unavailable indefinitely with their respective maladies.

Per Mark Medina of NBA.com, two key Suns starters did not travel with Phoenix to LA for tomorrow's action. All-Star Phoenix power forward Kevin Durant remains out with a left ankle injury, and maximum-salaried Suns center Deandre Ayton will also sit for their team's marquee Wednesday night matchup against LA with a hip injury.

The Suns have barely been able to field their entire team since adding the injury-prone Durant. KD has been healthy for just three games with Phoenix thus far, averaging a KD-esque stat line of 26.7 points on .690/.538/.882 shooting splits, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 blocks a night.

Through 61 contests, Ayton is averaging a career-high 18.3 points on 58.9% shooting from the floor, along with 10.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 blocks a night.

Needless to say, it would behoove Anthony Davis to attack Ayton's backup, Jock Landale, all night.
