Will your Los Angeles Lakers have their best defensive player and their second-highest scorer at their disposal tomorrow, when they return to Crypto.com Arena to host the Dallas Mavericks?

Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports that that's a big maybe.

Davis has seen his status improve from being sidelined for LA's most recent game, a depressing 114-110 loss to the 17-52 Houston Rockets, to "probable" for Friday.

Los Angeles head coach Darvin Ham revealed that, as part of the team's strategy for the rehabilitation of the 6'10" big man's right foot stress reaction, the club will continue to sit Davis for at least one night in LA's back-to-back game sets.

The good news is that there's only one of those left on the calendar this season: on April 4th, Los Angeles will square off against the Utah Jazz, while on April 5th, we'll be treated to another Battle of LA, when the Clippers "host" the Lakers.

When healthy, Davis has been his typically beastly self. Across his 44 healthy games, the eight-time All-Star center is averaging 26.1 points on .561/.269/.805 shooting splits, 12.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 blocks a night. He would almost be too much for Dallas' front line to handle.
