Your Los Angeles Lakers had a clean injury sheet for all six of their games against the Memphis Grizzlies in their first round matchup.

Things weren't quite so sunny in LA at the start of the second round against the Golden State Warriors.

Per Dave McMenamin of ESPN, reserve center Mo Bamba missed Game 1 of the Warriors series due to a sore left ankle, which also sidelined him for a month during the end of the 2022-23 regular NBA season.

McMenamin reveals that Bamba, who walked on a crutch during a team shootaround on the day of Game 1 at Chase Center, received an injection at some point in between the resolution of the Grizzlies series and the start of the Warriors series to help him better manage the pain.

The seven-footer is considered day-to-day moving forward.

Bamba has not been a part of head coach Darvin Ham's playoff rotation, after losing his spot backing up starting center Anthony Davis to 6'9" power forward/center Wenyen Gabriel during the regular season.

The Orlando Magic selected Bamba with the sixth pick out of the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. He was shipped out to LA as part of the Patrick Beverley deal at the trade deadline. He appeared in just nine healthy games for Los Angeles, averaging 3.7 on .407/.313/545 shooting splits, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in just 9.8 minutes a night.
