Lakers News: LA Hall Of Famer Congratulates Jeanie Buss On Wedding

She married a star comedian and broadcaster earlier this month.

Earlier this month, Los Angeles Lakers team governor Jeanie Buss wedded her long time boyfriend, comedian, actor and sportscaster Jay Mohr, in a modest Malibu beachside ceremony.

The couple have been together since 2017. The union marks the second marriage for Buss and the third for Mohr.

Buss has been with the Lakers in various capacities since her father Dr. Jerry Buss first purchased the franchise ahead of the 1979-80 season. She, along with the rest of her siblings, inherited the club in 2013, though she alone runs the show. Buss's rookie season with Los Angeles coincided with the first NBA year of Hall of Fame point guard Magic Johnson. The two eventually developed a decades-long friendship.

Johnson also has held a variety of positions with the club since his first retirement in 1991. He's been a coach, owner and team president.

He penned this heartfelt missive to Buss on X, a.k.a. The Social Media Platform Formerly Known As Twitter:

We, too, echo Johnson's sentiments, and wish the new happy couple all the best on their new life together.
