Lakers Injury Report: LA Will Face Very Healthy Pelicans Team For Play-In Game

The Los Angeles Lakers will play for the right to the seventh seed tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers are the eighth seed, playing the seventh-seeded Pelicans.

Although this isn't necessarily a do-or-die situation, as both Los Angeles and New Orleans have two opportunities to make the playoffs, neither of these teams wants to play in a single elimination game on Friday.

The Pelicans will give their all in tonight's game, and so will the purple and gold. While the Lakers will be short a couple of players who have already missed extended amounts of time, the Pelicans will be as healthy as they've been all seasoning.

According to the NBA injury report, the only player on the injury report for New Orleans is center Cody Zeller. However, Zeller is listed as available.

The Lakers have struggled with injuries all season, and entering the postseason is the same. Lakers superstar center Anthony Davis will likely play; however, the Kleu Lakers, like big man Christian Wood, Jalen Hood Schifino, and defensive-minded forward Jarred Vanderbilt, are listed as out. All three of these players have already missed a handful of the regular season due to their respective injuries.

Still, the Lakers will have their core in LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and Spencer Dinwiddie to carry the load.

Buckle up for what should be an intriguing battle for the right to play the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets.
