Lakers Highlights: LA Collapses Mid-Game, Drops Must-Win To Kings

It's hard to believe the Lakers were once up by 19 points.

Behind a combined 70 points from De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk, the Sacramento Kings erupted for a 130-120 victory over your Los Angeles Lakers, in a game that featured both teams possessing 20-point leads.

Los Angeles jumped out to their best first quarter in a while, leading by as many as 19 prior to having a bad last couple of minutes of the period, ceding a 10-0 run. From there, some interesting rotations that featured both Jaxson Hayes and Taurean Prince (+/- -17) in key roles on defense opened the door to Kings 6th man Malik Monk taking over the game.

From that point on, the Lakers never recovered, getting killed on the glass and around the basket, scoring 26 fewer points in the paint.

Anthony Davis was woeful, finishing with just 14 points while letting Domantas Sabonis run wild, as he put up 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists. De'Aaron Fox's 44 points, however, really put the game away, as he was scoring on end any time LA seemed to have juice towards the back end of the game.

Here's a look at LA's top plays on the day:

Frankly, there aren't a lot of highlights really worth watching.

LA played good defense to start the game off prior to completely collapsing and playing catch-up from that point forward. Let's see if they can bounce back against the Bucks on Friday.
