Lakers News: Ahead Of LA Matchup, Rudy Gobert Hit With Huge NBA Fine

Minnesota's big man owes the NBA some big-time money.

The Los Angeles Lakers are back at it again with their 66th game of the season on Sunday.

The Lakers will take the Minnesota Timberwolves, the number two seed in the Western Conference. The Wolves have had an incredible season thanks to their top players, Anthony Edwards, Karl Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

They've been the catalyst for their tremendous seasons.

However, before their matchup against L.A., the NBA handed Gobert a considerable fine.

Gobert was fined $100,000.

The three-time All-Star was fined due to his comments made toward the referees. According to the BA, he was directing an inappropriate and unprofessional gesture toward a game official in their last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Frenchman will try to unleash his aggression on the Lakers, who could be without their superstar big man, Anthony Davis. L.A. has a massive game ahead of them; we'll see how they respond following their big win on Friday.
