A big talking point surrounding Laker fans this past week is the fact that Anthony Davis was sitting out a must-win game against the Houston Rockets due to the sole reason that it was a back-to-back.

Davis made it clear he wanted to play, however, the Lakers chose to sit him out, sending out 6-foot-9 Wenyen Gabriel as the tallest player on the team. The Lakers went on to lose that game, infuriating their fans, as the team is no position to giveaway games.

Fortunately, the Lakers only have one more back-to-back this season — April 4 and 5 against the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers. On Monday, it was reported that Davis was expected to play in both games, however, on Tuesday, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham didn't sound too sure about that.

He said the Lakers have a plan for Davis, and are going to stick to it (per Jovan Buha of The Athletic).

The plan could be for him to play, however, it feels more likely that they're sticking with their initial plan of not playing AD in a back-to-back, no matter how important the game is.

There's almost no way each contest won't be a must-win game for the Lakers, so we'll see what their plan ends up being. However, if the plan is for him to sit, I can't imagine many Laker fans being very happy with that decision — especially if the Lakers go on to lose.
