Lakers News: Anthony Davis' Plan To Move On From 44-Point 76ers Loss

Throw the entire game film away.

Your Los Angeles Lakers were run out of Philadelphia on Monday night, losing to the 76ers by 44 points, 138-94. LA held a (very) early lead in the game, but a late first-quarter push by the 76ers all but ended the night.

It was an embarrassing loss for the team, especially considering the big win they just had over the Cleveland Cavaliers in their prior game. LA got steamrolled and that is putting it lightly.

Star big man Anthony Davis gave his thoughts after the fact and didn't mince words about how to move on from the awful performance.

“It’s just one of them games where you just kind of flush it.”

It was the kind of game that makes a team reevaluate how the roster has been constructed. But they have been missing players due to injury, and almost half their team is out currently.

Their strong depth is being tested like crazy right now, and it isn't passing the test. The Lakers have been relying on star LeBron James very heavily, and the lack of others showed against Philadelphia.

But even when they've been mainly healthy, something feels off with this team. They aren't consistent on a nightly basis, and you never really know what to expect from them.

This will be something to watch for as the year progresses. LA will likely need to make some moves at the trade deadline to give themselves a better chance at a title this season.

The season is far from over, and the Lakers still remain a team that nobody wants to play come playoff time. But they have things to fix, otherwise, it will be more of the same going forward.
