Lakers News: D’Angelo Russell Blows Minds With Highlight Reel Pass
This upcoming season will be a big one for the entire Lakers team but in particular point guard D’Angelo Russell. Russell is coming off a very poor performance in the Western Conference Finals, and the entire summer was spent questioning if he belonged back on this team.
He will need to show out this year, and the hope is that he does. Russell looked great with the Lakers during the limited time last season until the series against the Denver Nuggets.
So, he is coming into this season with a chip on his shoulder, and through the first few preseason games, Russell has shown out. In the team's preseason game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Russell showed a little bit of everything he brings to the table.
This includes his passing skills, which is what people were high on when he came out of college. He threaded the needle on a pass to point guard Gabe Vincent, and we are still trying to figure out how he did it. You can see the play below!
If Russell can continue this strong play all season, it would help the Lakers out tremendously. He is one of the x-factors for this squad this season, and they need him to really step up his game.
His shooting ability and the ability to run the offense well sets things up perfectly alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They are all very high on having him in Los Angeles for an entire season, and we can’t wait to see what he can do all year long.
