Lakers News: Former LA Guard Signs With Italian Club

Wishing him the best of luck!

When it comes to the Los Angeles Lakers, they are certainly a franchise that has very high expectations when it comes to both of their guard positions. LA has been home to a number of backcourt stars and championship contributors such as Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Derek Fisher and so many more.

Therefore, when the franchise was in a re-building stage, they were in a constant movement trying to find the right guards that would help get them get back to winning habits. They obviously used two lottery picks on both D'Angelo Russell and Lonzo Ball and in the time they had both of them after their respective draft years, they were not pleased enough.

Even other ball-handlers and shooters such as Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope eventually found their way off of the roster despite helping LA win the 2020 championship.

And it looks like yet another former Lakers guard from the post-Kobe Bryant era has found a new home once again and this time it is in Italy.

"GeVi Napoli signed Tyler Ennis for the next season"

Ennis spent two seasons with the purple and gold where he averaged five points, two assists and one board in 76 games with the franchise from 2016 to 2018.

He was experimented as a primary ball-handler and allowed other guards such as Russell, Ball, Caldwell-Pope and more to get rest. His 2018 stint with the Lakers was the last where he logged minutes with an official NBA team and his last three years have been spent playing for numerous European squads.

Let's see how he continues to perform with this Italian organization and we wish him the best of luck moving forward!
