Lakers News: Hawks Announce Starters For LA Bout

Which team is more desperate for a win?

The 19-27 Atlanta Hawks have been one of the most confusing teams in the league this season, as they have enough talent to be around or above .500, but instead, they find themselves eight games under.

The Trae Young and Dejounte Murray pairing clearly isn't working, hence countless trade talks that involve the Lakers – specifically, D'Angelo Russell or occasionally, Austin Reaves being placed in packages for Dejounte Murray.

Regardless, Atlanta will continue trotting out their same 5, led by their backcourt of Young and Murray, and surrounded by wings Saddiq Bey and Jalen Johnson, and center Clint Capela.

Evident by their record, despite all 5 of the Hawks players ranging from good to great NBA players, they haven't been able to put it together. Luckily for them, they'll be playing a Jaxson Hayes-anchored defense, so tonight could be the night.

Expect serious issues for LA when it comes to guarding Young and Murray, as without Jarred Vanderbilt or Anthony Davis on the floor, Los Angeles will be forced to put some alignment of Reaves, Russell, and Prince on the two premier guards. Between this and the loss of AD's offensive output, expect a Lakers loss.
