Lakers News: Iconic LA Superstar Nominated For A Third Basketball Hall Of Fame Enshrinement
Los Angeles Lakers legend and Hall of Famer Jerry West is again nominated for the Basketball Hall of Fame. West is a finalist for the contributors committee.

We're all familiar with West's success as a player. He's an NBA champion, NBA Finals MVP, 14-time All-Star, 10x All-NBA First Teamer, and NBA scoring champion in 1970. However, his off-the-court accolades may be just as impressive.
Since entering that realm in the 1980s, West has established himself as one of the most successful basketball executives in sports history. He played a significant role as an architect of the Lakers dynasties in the ‘80s and 2000s. West drafted key Hall of Fame players like Magic Johnson and James Worthy, traded for Kobe Bryant, signed free agent Shaquille O'Neal. and hired legendary head coach Phil Jackson.
That was just with the Lakers. He moved on to the Memphis Grizzlies to serve as the general manager from 2002-2007 and added two more championships as an executive with the Golden State Warriors.
West has done it all in his basketball career. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame as an executive. If West is enshrined, this will be his third time in the Hall of Fame.
The 85-year-old is already in the Hall of Fame as a player and a member of the 1960 US Olympic team. His 1960 US Olympic team won the Gold Medal in Rome against Brazil.
There's no question West will be enshrined again. Nobody deserves it more than the Laker legend.
