On Thursday, the Lakers made the signing of its newest point guard official.

When free agency opened up on July 1st, it was reported that former Miami Heat guard, Gabe Vincent, would sign with the Lakers.

Vincent was in the Lakers front office on Thursday to officially sign the deal.

Vincent's contract is worth $33 million over the next three years. He is expected to be coming off the bench for Austin Reaves this next season, according to ESPN's depth chart.

Last season, Vincent proved that he could be a valuable asset in a contending teams rotation.

In the playoffs with the Heat, Vincent averaged 12.6 points per game. That was a three point increased from his regular season.

Vincent also has experience starting if something goes wrong is any of the Lakers guards. Out of the 68 games he played in last year's regular season, he started 34 of them. In the playoffs, Vincent started every game.

The guard was the first of four players to officially sign their contracts with the Lakers on Thursday.

Reaves resigned to a max contract with the team. He is expected to be the starting shooting guard next season.

Free agents Jaxson Hayes and Taurean Prince also inked their deals to play in the purple and gold next year.

With Vincent, Hayes and Prince coming off the bench, the Lakers should have much more depth than they did last season.
