Lakers News: LeBron James Calls Out Refs For Missed Calls Throughout Loss To Heat

The man is relentless.

Even after he, his coach, and his starting point guard all spoke out about officiating calls during your Los Angeles Lakers' 108-107 road loss to the Miami Heat yesterday, even after LA reached out to the NBA's headquarters to protest ref calls (not an uncommon occurrence in the league, just not usually as publicized), Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James still wanted to publicly complain about the in-game officiating.

He took to his personal Twitter/X account to complain after the defeat, which kept Los Angeles winless on the road this year and dropped them to a middling 3-4 record.

There are a few funny notes about this tweet, beyond the fact that he is protesting some foul calls or non-calls in a road game where his team didn't play particularly well anyway (outside of James and Austin Reaves, at least).

For one thing, James is citing NBA Central, a Twitter/X aggregator site that parrots other news sources, often without including source links (as was the case here). Also, given that James himself played for four straight NBA Finals-bound Heat teams from 2010-14, he knows the beat reporter who's being cited here, Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel. It's fascinating that, instead of quote-tweeting Winderman, James is a connoisseur of NBA Central, too. Stars, they're just like us!
