Lakers News: NBA Fans Roast LA For In-Season Tournament Banner

LA will now be hanging a banner for their IST accomplishments.

Your Los Angeles Lakers won the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament over the weekend, taking down the Indiana Pacers in the title game, 123-109. It was a dominating performance from the team over the course of the tournament, and they were very motivated to win it all.

Each player won $500,000 due to LA winning the tournament, which was a big motivation.

It was announced before the team won the In-Season Tournament that they wouldn't raise a banner, but it looks like plans changed. The Lakers will now unveil a banner to show their accomplishments in the In-Season Tournament.

They will add years to the banner if the franchise goes on to win the tournament in future years. But fans have already started to roast the Lakers online for the banner.

The Lakers will always get criticism from fans, even when they win. It's just part of the business when it comes to the team and has been for years.

The In-Season Tournament was great for the league as a whole, giving regular-season games more of a playoff feel. This should help all teams out down the line, and the NBA found something that really worked here.

It seems that the league played a big role in the Lakers putting the banner up since they originally didn't plan to do so. Fans can roast the Lakers all they want to, but it won't take away the fact that LA won the first-ever In-Season Tournament.
