Lakers News: Newly Signed Philadelphia Eagles' Player Honors Kobe Bryant With Number Change

Bryant continues to make an impact.

Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant continues to make an impact all over the sports world. He is one of the most famous athletes of all time and his "Mamba Mentality" has transcended through the years.

Even in his unfortunate death, Bryant has continued to leave a lasting legacy. Athletes look to him for motivation and he has been honored in so many different ways.

Recently, Philadelphia Eagles safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson said that he will be changing his number this season to eight, to honor Bryant. Bryant grew up a fan of the Eagles, so this is just another ode to the Lakers legend.

Gardner-Johnson resigned with the Eagles this offseason after leaving them for the Detroit Lions last year. He originally wore No. 23 with Philadelphia but will be making the change now.

This is a cool way to honor Bryant and he surely would appreciate the gesture. The memory of Bryant lives on and his impact won't be forgotten.
