Lakers News: Starting Lineups Revealed For Nets-LA Friday Night Fight

Will LA's preferred starters suit up?

Your Los Angeles Lakers will have their full compliment of starters in head coach Darvin Ham's amended first five tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, the team has announced via its official Twitter/X account

As fans with long memories no doubt realize, this first five is also the lineup Ham employed during LA's first game of the season. Point guard D'Angelo Russell and shooting guard Austin Reaves will occupy the Lakers backcourt, while 3-and-D swingman Taurean Prince will start at small forward and All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will tip off at power forward and center, respectively.

The Brooklyn Nets, meanwhile, have also announced their starters for the evening, per their Twitter/X account. Spencer Dinwiddie will start the point, Dorian Finney Smith gets the nod at shooting guard, leading scorer Mikal Bridges, battling an illness, will jump at small forward, Bridges' old Phoenix Suns teammate Cam Johnson will start at the four spot, while rim-roller Nic Claxton will start at center.

LA is a -7 favorite to win at home this evening, in a nationally broadcast ESPN bout. At 21-21, the Lakers will take every winnable game they can get. That should include tonight's matchup against a struggling 16-24 Nets franchise that has dropped nine of its last ten games, including four straight.
