Lakers: Watch LeBron James' Record-Breaking Shot to Move Into First on the NBA's All-Time Scoring List

This was the shot that put him over the top.

LeBron James has officially moved into the No. 1 spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list. On Tuesday, he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who held the top spot for over 38 years. But now, there's a new No. 1, and his record-breaking number will end up far surpassing Abdul-Jabbar's.

James broke the record in the third quarter of the game. He did it with a fadeaway jumper from the free-throw line right before the end of the quarter.

Here's the shot that etched James' name into the history books.

This will go down as one of the most historic nights in NBA history. When Abdul-Jabbar finished his career with 38,387 points, no one thought that number would ever be broken.

But here we are, over 38 years later, and there's a new No. 1 on the list.

Congratulations to LeBron James for being the NBA's all-time leading scorer. This is just yet another milestone that continues to solidify his case as the NBA's greatest player of all time.
