Lakers News: Lamar Odom Crashes Car On Early Morning Drive

The two-time LA champ busted up his Mercedes on Sunday.

Two-time Los Angeles Lakers title-winning power forward Lamar Odom is in hot water again.

Well, lukewarm water, at least.

According to TMZ Sports, the retired 6'10" big man ran into two unoccupied parked cars with his white Mercedes while driving home from a friend's Northridge home at around 3 a.m. this morning, his representative confirmed. Where exactly the crash transpired has not been divulged.

Pictures of the damage are available on the TMZ link. The car had to be towed.

Upon arriving on the scene, attendant LAPD officers reportedly did not run a field sobriety test on Odom, taking him at his word after he noted that he's still sober and runs rehabilitation facilities.

That tactic generally doesn't work when you crash into two parked cars, but most people aren't a former Sixth Man of the Year who won two titles as probably the third-best player on the most venerated NBA franchise in the league.

TMZ notes that Odom did not require medical assistance and did not incur any injuries at the scene.

Odom has had a tumultuous life since he last played in the NBA, with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012-13, most notably when he suffered a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in 2015.
