Lakers News: LeBron James Astonished With Viral Dodgers Mic’d Up Moment

The King tunes into Dodgers baseball.

LeBron James is once again showing his admiration of other Los Angeles area sports teams on his Instagram.

This time the Los Angeles Lakers All-Star small forward showed his 158 million followers on the platform a clip of Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas making a play while being mic'd up on Sunday Night Baseball.

The clip went viral without James' help as Rojas talked to the ESPN announcers while fielding a routine groundball.

James on the other hand, found the clip and wants to mirror it in his own sports.

Every week, ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball broadcast gets rave reviews as they interview one of the players in the game for an inning.

This week's mic'd-up player was Rojas. While there have been moments where players have had to make players in the past, Rojas stands out as he directly talks to the announcers in the middle of a play.

As he makes the play Rojas says, "Sorry guys, need to make this play real quick."

Lebron hopes he can get a moment like that during a Lakers game this season.

Currently, NBA players are mic'd up for nationally televised games on ESPN and TNT. While those players can sometimes have viral quotes in the middle of the game, they are never interviewed.

With James' influence, the league could implement in-game interviews between announcers and players.

As the in-game interviews have made baseball more enjoyable to watch, the benefits could also carry over to basketball.
