Last night, during the second contest of a back-to-back pair of games, your Los Angeles Lakers looked totally gassed.

Stars LeBron James (sore right foot) and Anthony Davis (right foot stress injury), who had been considered merely questionable to suit up at all, looked a day late and a dollar short against a well-rested Los Angeles Clippers club that hadn't played since Saturday.

James started off slowly, scoring just three points in the game's first half on 1-of-6 shooting. He heated up in the second, scoring 30 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the floor (4-of-5 from deep) and 2-of-3 shooting from the charity stripe.

All told, the 19-time All-Star finished with 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field, eight rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a block.

Following the 125-118 defeat, James spoke with gathered reporters.

"It was tough, it's one of the tougher road games we've had this year," James aid. "Coming off the road trip and getting back late last night after the overtime game, it was a tough game for us obviously. We started off the first playing Laker basketball. We had some good spurts but not enough. So this is one of those scheduling conflicts in the season and it definitely got the best of us tonight."

LA next faces off against the Phoenix Suns on Friday, having had a day in between stints to recuperate somewhat.
