Lakers News: LeBron James' Son Bronny Has Cardiac Arrest At USC Gym

He was instantly hospitalized.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James' son Bronny, a matriculating USC freshman, incurred a cardiac arrest while working out yesterday and was instantly taken to the hospital, sources inform TMZ Sports

Bronny, an athletic 6'3" combo guard, was getting in an early morning workout at USC's Galen Center, where the Trojans practice and play.

The 18-year-old was a four-star recruit among the class of 2023. He is considered the 20th best prospect in ESPN's latest rankings.

A spokesperson for the James family had more.

"Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest," the spokesperson said. "Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information."

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reveals that James' condition has stabilized, and he is now out of the hospital.

Here's hoping that this won't be a long-term impediment to Bronny's long-term basketball goals, and that he will be able to suit up in the cardinal and gold again soon.
