38-year-old Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James has continued to go out of his way to reiterate just how much he still intends to play alongside his eldest son LeBron "Bronny" James Jr. Over the weekend, Bronny, an 18-year-old senior shooting guard at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, announced his commitment to USC in the fall. He will be draft-eligible in 2024. LeBron will have a player option with the Lakers that summer.

After a stellar 21-point, eight-rebound, eight-assist night in a 127-97 Game 3 blowout win against the Golden State Warriors Saturday, LeBron spoke out about how he still plans to suit up with Bronny as teammates in the near future, per Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

"My son is going to take his journey," James said. "And whatever his journey, however his journey lays out, he’s going to do what’s best for him,” LeBron commented postgame. “So, just because that’s my aspiration or my goal, doesn’t mean it’s his. And I’m absolutely OK with that.”

James has talked about wanting to play next to Bronny for a while, and revealed prior to the start of this eventful 2022-23 NBA season that he hopes to hoop with both his sons, assuming 15-year-old Bryce James continues to pursue basketball.

Currently, the New Orleans Pelicans possess LA's 2024 first round draft pick, but could also opt to surrender the selection in favor of the Lakers' 2025 first rounder. Would Los Angeles team president Rob Pelinka find a way back into next year's draft to ensure he can draft Bronny, projected to be a mid-to-late first round pick?
